I was under the impression that we would be working individually which i am used to, and generally motivated at. Seeing as i was placed in a group consisting of myself, Luciana and Gamze i had no idea what to expect.
Once planning the film, i was placed planning the storyboards, which i didn't mind as i have done work such as this before. Throughout the planning process our group were not very organized, but we were managing to get by.
Once we decided on our genre (thriller) and what our aims were, we were allowed to start filming. We wanted to film a sequence of flashbacks including a chase scene.
As we were filming on school premises we needed the halls empty before we could do so.
So we had to first of all film the chase during lesson time.
When then moved onto filming the dark interview in the media filming room.
Our filming was falling behind as we repeatedly retried the same scenes. Being that we were using a character that was part of another group also limited our filming time quite a lot, as he had his own work to be getting on with.
We managed to get enough filming done, but we were still behind. This made us also fall seriously behind in terms of editing. I managed to cut the film up, but then when attempting to edit on another day, the footage was lost.
By this point we are on the edge of failing, as i would have to log and capture and edit everything again.
This eventually, seriously affected the editing and outcome of our final film.
Due to the circumstances i think we came out the end of the course able to display our work and get our point across. Although in terms of the effect we wanted we failed.
